A 1920's Belgian shaving set fit for the moustache-management of famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. Although, onscreen in the BBC's "Poirot", Season 1- Ep. 6, David Suchet used the bowl with pitcher to douse his flaming feet from walking ten miles in his Belgian slippers when Captain Hasting's Lagonda ran out of gas. The onscreen set was a tame blue-line, Poirot would prefer ours!
Equally fit to serve as the showpiece in the Wizard of Oz's Emerald City beauty parlor.
The set features an emerald and black painted art deco insignia with gold highlights. Includes pitcher, wash basin, razor dish and soap tray. Excellent condition.
Provenance: Acquired from a New York estate.
